Geng's updated work

Goooood morning!
starting with the research on " The Benefits of Green Space "

Interaction with gardens and natural spaces offers a variety of mental, physical and social benefits for humans, ranging from stress reduction, quicker healing, and mitigation of Attention Deficit Disorder in children to decreasing crime and air pollution. Sustainable sites consider human energy and creativity as a renewable resource, recognizing the potential for healthy living and employment conditions. City planners, governments, and ordinary citizens are only just beginning to appreciate the tangible benefits of green spaces and take advantage of opportunities for improving quality of life in urbanized areas.

􏰀 Stress and violence reduction

􏰀 Improved concentration

􏰀 Enhanced health

􏰀 More rapid healin

􏰀 Improved environmental conditions

􏰀 Crime reduction.

􏰀 Increased workplace productivity

􏰀 Positive effects on children

I HAVE CHOOSE THE POND AREA SITE because the site have several program that I'm interested in, and the activity have their exact time, unlike the field which have only sport, and it can be predict what time-date they are playing.

the activities on the site are ...

Add more on The program, Due to the research on the benefits of

Green spaces, those activities are located on the "very green" space

now a day people doesnt involve much on to it, like for the "feeding animal"

program, only few of the student went there, so i want to design elements that

"bring people more to the space" and a space like a univeristy, student should

i've more relax time from studying, and I think the "Green space" is one effective way.

SMELL IS AN INVISIBLE LANGUAGE

Sice smell is an invisible language, i will create a scent that

suit for each program on the site, creating benefits and control

people.

The device that are use as a odor diffuser are the seat

For the seat i want it to be an multi-purpose seat, which yes I

still keep the concept "Green space" so i inspired it by the grass

chair, as an example.

this are the plates on the device, and for the COLOR I'm thinking of spraying a smoke color too.

because color is also one of the element that can changes people behavior and mood.

  1. Wow! Huge improvement! I particularly like the sketches of the different odor zones that you made using opaque purple walls to simulate odor-architecture...or odortecture. Good work. Also, I like the references you chose for the natural chairs. This seems like a productive line of investigation. I do have some suggestions:

    1. Do not make the pond smell terrible for Loy Krathong. The pond is not that dangerous! This is one of those few moments where many people gather around the pond so find a better way to pair the experience with the smell.

    2. when you introduce the main events that take place on your site, please show us on the site plan where they occur; you do this when you communicate about your proposed treatment, but not in your initial pages

    3. use a better site plan! Why are there no roads, fences, sidewalks or the architecture building? Aren't these important too?

    4. Push your idea of the bush chairs further; is it really productive to have a bunch of isolated chairs scattered throughout the field? What about when people gather for Rugby or Loy Krathong? Shouldn't they have some odiferous seating that works communally? And, why not find a way to use the body of water as a force for creating odor-tecture?

5 . When you create these invisible but odorous 'walls,' how is smell created? What are the devices? Are they indeed invisible? Where would they go? Do you create other devices, in addition to seating, that can project odors?

    6. Are you going to do anything for shelter from sun or rain? Like any architecture, you must have answers for how your invisible architecture will perform in all weather.
